R.E.M should probably just go away. They’re around 10 years too late to release a new album and all they’ve been doing for the past few weeks is annoying the hell out of me on Spotify. Yes, I’ve noticed them and yes I am now talking about them but it sure as hell hasn’t made me want to buy the album, so it’s really not an effective advertisement.

I can’t stop listening to this song, though if you’re currently of a heightened emotional state I wouldn’t recommend it.
This sounds like a very good album, however it annoys me how she’s called it 21 as it only rubs it in my face that her last album was called 19 and I am 19 now and I haven’t released an album yet. Not that I’m going to, let alone two by the time I’m 21, but it just reminds me that I’ve achieved nothing so far, left no lasting mark.
I’ll be honest, it was a shock to learn that Israel Kamakawiwoʻole (as in Over the Rainbow) looked like this.

But I do heart Sam Tsui and it was a Secret Santa gift so I reckon I’m allowed to wear it out. Yes, I should just embrace how sad I am and wear a T-shirt proclaiming my love for someone off the internet.
Today was going pretty shit, then I got home from work and KANYE’S NEW ALBUM had finally appeared in my post box.
Nothing that happens the rest of the day can negate this feeling.
By the way, I know I’ve neglected tumblr a lot recently but I’m going to see Vampire Weekend tonight!
I love Florence and the Machine, blah blah, beautiful, etc etc. But when are they going to realise that they can’t keep touring on this album? Everyone has heard it already. Yes, they still love it, but this time next year, after they’ve done all the festivals with exactly the same set they used this year and the year before it’s going to get a little tiresome.
The only thing I worry about is that they become a victim of their own success. This album has been so good and has done so many good things for them, what if they fail to produce another album of similar or better quality? If their second album is a flop, we will hold them dear in memory of Lungs. But ultimately, before long, they’re going to get dropped.
Such is the cruel and fickle world of the music industry.
Can someone please explain to me the difference between The Killers and Brandon Flowers’ new solo outfit? I can’t hear anything different in his solo work to what I’d expect The Killers to do.
